Corex-Megara is the exclusive manufacturer of Corflute®, a twin wall profile polypropylene sheet used broadly across the retail display, packaging, material handling, horticulture and building industries.

In 2022, we joined forces with fellow Australia manufacturer Megara. Megara’s world class Promeg® graphic polypropylene sheet products are an excellent addition to Corex’s industrial solid sheet and Corflute® product lines. Together, we can offer customers with an even wider range of sustainable plastic sheet, fabricated products, and recycling solutions.

Sustainability is in our DNA: Corex and Megara products are designed to be reused again and again. When the product is ready to retire, we can collect and recycle it at Corex Recycling, then reuse it in products for tomorrow.

We are seeking a junior Industrial Designer to be part of our growing business and design team.

The primary purpose of the Industrial Design will be to create sustainable POS display, stationery and packaging concepts for brand and corporate clients.

Your role will contribute to the operational success of Corex-Megara by providing innovative design solutions and prepare orders for efficient manufacture.

As the exclusive manufacturers of PROMEG® and Corflute®, you will be designing products made from these materials using a range of in-house production capabilities.

Your Responsibilities

Develop Creative Concepts

1. Develop creative concepts in response to a brief that meet our customer’s needs.
2. Develop concepts that are economically viable and suitable for mass production.
3. Attempt to utilise as many in house materials and processes as possible.
4. Develop effective presentations as required utilising graphics, hand sketches, 3D rendering and photo shopped images as appropriate.
5. Test all designs by creating prototype samples and verify that they perform to customer requirements.

• Problem Solving – Analytical, problem-solving skills
• Detail Oriented – Strong attention to detail
• Main Software – ArtiosCAD (specialist folding carton packaging program. On the job training supplied.), Illustrator, Photoshop

This role is suited to people who have recently graduated with a Degree in Industrial Design (0-5 years’ experience).
