What is Recycled Corflute? Introducing Corflute®eco
Up to 100% recycled content. Same performance. Designed for a circular future.
If you’ve already read our guide on What is Corflute?, you’ll know why it’s one of Australia’s most widely used materials for signage, packaging, and material protection.
But today, the conversation has evolved. It’s no longer just about performance or print quality. It’s about where materials come from and where they go next.
Thanks to recent advancements at Corex Recycling in partnership with Corex Plastic Lab, that story has taken a major step forward. Previously made with up to 50% recycled content, Corflute®eco can now be manufactured with up to 100% recycled content, using post-consumer and post-industrial polypropylene waste without compromising performance.
That’s where Corflute®eco stands apart.
What is Recycled Corflute?
Recycled Corflute® is fluted polypropylene sheet made using post-consumer and post-industrial recycled material, engineered to deliver the same performance as standard Corflute® while significantly reducing environmental impact.
At Corex, this takes shape as Corflute®eco.
It has been carefully developed to achieve the ideal balance between:
- Sustainability
- Consistency
- Performance
So you don’t have to compromise one for the other.
Corflute®eco at a Glance

How Corflute®eco is Made?
The Closed Loop in Action
Corflute®eco isn’t just a product with recycled content, it’s part of a closed-loop manufacturing system.
At our in-house recycling facility:
- Used Corflute® sheets and polypropylene waste are collected
- Materials are processed, refined, and re-engineered
- They are reintroduced (remanufactured) into production as new Corflute®eco sheets
This means:
- Materials are kept in circulation, not discarded
- Waste is designed out of the system
- Products are created with their next life already in mind
Both Corflute® and Corflute®eco can be recycled again and again through Corex Recycling, supporting a truly circular material flow.
From Waste to Resource
The Role of Recycled Polypropylene (r-PP)
At the heart of Corflute®eco is something much bigger than a single product, but rather it is a material philosophy.
Corex actively uses recycled polypropylene (r-PP) as a primary feedstock, transforming waste streams that would otherwise be destined for landfill into high-value raw material.
Rather than relying on virgin plastic, we:
- Recover polypropylene from post-consumer and industrial sources
- Process it through our advanced recycling systems
- Convert it into high-quality r-PP pellets
- Reintroduce it into manufacturing including Corflute®eco
This approach allows us to close the loop at a material level, not just at the product level.
Why r-PP is Integral to Corflute®eco
Using recycled polypropylene as a feed source:
- Reduces reliance on virgin fossil-based materials
- Diverts valuable resources away from landfill
- Retains the embedded energy and value within materials
- Strengthens local, circular supply chains
It also gives Corex greater control over quality and consistency, proving that sustainability and performance can, and should, coexist.
Designed for Continuous Reuse
Our r-PP system isn’t linear – It’s regenerative. Materials used in Corflute®eco can be:
- Collected after use
- Reprocessed into new raw material
- Returned into production again
This creates a continuous reuse cycle, where products are not just recyclable in theory, but actively recycled in practice. Because the goal isn’t just to recycle more, it’s to waste less in the first place.
Why Choose Corflute®eco?
- Reduce Environmental Impact
Made using recycled polypropylene, Corflute®eco reduces reliance on virgin materials and supports a more circular use of plastics.
- Support Australian Manufacturing
Proudly made in Australia, it strengthens local industry while reducing transport-related emissions.
- Close the Loop on Waste
Through Corex Recycling, products are recovered and remade keeping materials in use and out of landfill.
- Maintain Performance Standards
You get the same reliability, printability, and versatility as standard Corflute®.
- Strengthen Your Sustainability Story
Ideal for organisations looking to:
- Meet ESG and procurement requirements
- Demonstrate real sustainability action (not just intent)
- Align materials with brand values
Where Can You Use Recycled Corflute®?
Corflute®eco is suitable for a wide range of applications, including:
- Signage (retail, events, real estate, election campaigns)
- Packaging and material protection
- Construction and building applications
- Point-of-sale displays
With UV protection for outdoor use and corona treatment for print adhesion, it’s built for real-world performance.
Designed for a Circular Future
Sustainability isn’t just about using recycled content. Sustainability is about rethinking how materials flow through the system because the goal isn’t just to use recycled materials, but rather to design systems where materials never become waste.
Corflute®eco represents a shift toward:
- Designing products for reuse and recovery
- Keeping materials in continuous circulation
- Reducing waste at every stage of the lifecycle
At Corex, recycling isn’t an add-on. It’s embedded in how we design, manufacture, and take responsibility for our products.
