ecorange® FAQs

New to Corex and Megara and not sure how we work? Here are some answers and some helpful tips for our products!

  • How do Corex and Megara work together?
Corex and Megara joined forces in 2022 with the aim of delivering local customers with an Australian plastic manufacturing and recycling one-stop-shop. Although the two companies remain separate, we come together to share knowledge and services for our customers. Megara makes their own graphic grade polypropylene sheet, PROMEG®. With a beautiful high-end finish and carbon neutral certifications, PROMEG® polypropylene sheet is the material of choice for retail display (POS display), consumer packaging and stationery markets. Read the merger announcement.
  • Do you make recycled PROMEG®?
We make many recycled products in our ECOLOGIA® range. MARMO® is our polypropylene made from 100% post-industrial waste. It has an off-white colour with flecks in the sheet. KERBECO® is made from consumer waste recovered from kerb-side recycling.
  • Can PROMEG® polypropylene sheets be recycled?
PROMEG® is made from Polypropylene which is 100% recyclable. When your PROMEG® products are ready to retire or if you have post-industrial scrap you want to return, Corex Recycling can recycle and reuse them. Every sheet of PROMEG® is invited to be brought back.
  • Can Corflute® be recycled?

  • Do you offer a plastic recycling service?
Corex has accepted material for recycling of all our products for over 20 years, and established our Corex Recycling stand-alone facility in 2009. We pride ourselves on our reduced footprint and have been trail-blazers in recycling and reusing plastics, well before the current narrative about circular economy was coined. Corex products are designed to be reused again and again. When the product is ready to retire or if you have post-industrial waste, we can collect it, recycle it, and reuse it. Every sheet of Corflute® is invited to be brought back. We supply industrial size recycling bins called Corpaks to our clients and partners. We take back a range of other plastics for recycling also. If you would like plastic or Corflute recycled, contact us and we will provide a recycling solution that suits your location and product. Our Corex Recycling facility works alongside the factory that produces Corflute.
  • Is Corflute® recyclable?
Corflute® is is made from Polypropylene which is 100% recyclable.
  • What happens to the plastic that’s brought back to Corex Recycling?
We process and recycle every kilogram of plastic we receive on site. All of the processed material returned to us have a use within Corex Plastics. In the rare occasion that Corex Plastics do not have a use to suit the recycled polymer, we will only then sell to local plastic manufactures that make products that could be sent back to us for recycling.
